ALISON Learning Opportunities for 2012 – Message from ALISON CEO, Mike FeerickDear Member of the ALISON Free Learning Community,
With the arrival of the New Year, I would like to take a moment of your time to thank you for studying with ALISON, and to warmly welcome the many learners who have joined our free learning community through the past year. In particular, I would like to congratulate our 50,000+ members who successfully completed and graduated from ALISON courses in 2011.
ALISON provides over one million registered learners with access to 300 free courses at Diploma and Certificate Level. Through 2012, our full course list will expand by over 200 additional free courses, and our service and features will be enhanced to serve your learning ever more professionally. The ALISON team at our headquarters in Ireland has grown substantially, however, as a social enterprise, we are still indebted to our learners who promote our free learning services within their networks. As we don’t charge for our basic learning services, and are determined not to do so, we are very dependent on our learner marketing support.
There are many ways you can help promote us. The most powerful are referring via email, using the “Like” function on Facebook, and using Twitter to re-tweet our free learning messages. You can do all three from nearly any page on the ALISON website. If you have any difficulty doing any of the above, please let us know. When you graduate from an ALISON course, feel free to tell the world! It is really important to us that everyone helps the promotional efforts in some way. Your help enables us to strengthen the free learning service not just for you, but for many others benefiting from the free learning opportunity we provide across the globe.
Once again, it is really great to have you on this journey with us to make all education and training freely accessible to everyone online. We are developing our model of free learning to be more robust and scalable all the time.
